Cookie policy
What we store on your device, why it is there, how long it stays and how to change your mind.
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 1 July 2026
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so that it can recognise it on a later request. Similar technologies — local storage and session storage in your browser — do much the same job without sending anything back with each request. This policy covers all of them; where it says “cookie”, it means any of these techniques.
2. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, because the site cannot function without them. Everything else — currently the analytics category — is set only after you have actively agreed in the cookie banner. Choosing “Necessary only” means no analytics cookie is written at all.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by opening cookie settings, which brings the banner back. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
3. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the website to work and to remember your privacy choice. They cannot be switched off through the banner.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
grp-cookie-consent |
Local storage | Stores whether you accepted all cookies or only the necessary ones, so the banner is not shown again on every page. | Until you delete it or reset it via cookie settings |
grp-session |
Cookie, first party | Keeps the booking form session together while you complete the steps and submit a reservation request. | Session — deleted when the browser closes |
grp-lang |
Cookie, first party | Remembers the language version you chose (English, German or Danish) so you return to it. | 12 months |
Analytics — only with consent
Used to understand which route pages are read, how far people get in the booking form, and where the site is slow or confusing. Data is evaluated in aggregate.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
grp-stats-id |
Cookie, first party | Pseudonymous identifier so repeat visits are not counted as new visitors. | 13 months |
grp-stats-session |
Cookie, first party | Groups the pages viewed in one visit into a single session for the statistics. | 30 minutes of inactivity |
Marketing
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not embed third-party advertising networks on this site.
4. Third-party content
The pages of this site are served from our own servers, including fonts and scripts. If we later embed third-party content such as maps or video, that content may set its own cookies; in that case it will be loaded only after you have consented, and this policy will be updated with the details.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of the banner, your browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage — the settings are usually found under “Privacy” or “Cookies and site data”. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may mean the booking form no longer works correctly. Deleting local storage will make the cookie banner appear again on your next visit.
6. Legal basis
Storing and reading information on your device is based on your consent under the ePrivacy rules as implemented in Denmark and Germany, except where storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested. Any subsequent processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
7. Changes
If we add, remove or change a cookie, this page is updated together with its version number and date, and — where consent is required — the banner is shown again.
